She is addressing a receptive audience.

Because she is not a practicing member, a Catholic church refused to let Britney Spears to wed Sam Asghari at the house of prayer. Britney Spears criticized the Catholic church for this.

The pop diva Tuesday captioned a picture on Instagram depicting the interior of a church during a wedding, writing, “This is where I originally intended to be married during COVID !!!!”

I wished to visit each Sunday. They claimed it was temporarily shut down because of COVID, and it’s gorgeous,” she remarked. When I wanted to get married there two years later, they told me I had to be Catholic and pass a test.

Spears, a Southern Baptist who was raised but who has also studied Kabbalah, afterward questioned her 41.8 million social media followers, “Isn’t church supposed to be open to all????”

She withheld the name of the church where she planned to get married.

Fans of the “Toxic” singer flocked to the comments section to respond to her post. Some made fun of the situation, while others defended the place of worship by pointing out that most Catholic churches demand that at least one partner practice the religion in order to get married there.

Britney will attack the church. Iconic,” a commenter said.

Another fan stated, “Godney has spoken.”

“Giiiiiiiiiirrll, this is a MESS! Yes, you must be Catholic to get married in the Catholic Church; it is not merely a place where people get married.

“Getting married in a Catholic church requires you to be a Catholic. It’s always been that way,” another online user echoed.

Another remarked, “Some traditions need to be honored, Britney.”

In the end, Spears, 40, and Asghari, 28, got married in the garden of her mansion in Thousand Oaks, California, in June.

Madonna, Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, and Donatella Versace, who made Spears’ wedding gown, attended the fairytale nuptials.

The couple started dating in January 2017 after getting together in October 2016. After almost five years of dating, they got engaged in September 2021.

At the time, Page Six said that Spears and a family lawyer promptly began preparing a prenuptial agreement.

During a court hearing in June 2021, Spears said that she wanted to wed Asghari and have a child with him. She admitted that her conservatorship’s stringent conditions prevented her from doing so, but that when she was ultimately released in November 2021, it allowed her to do so.

Spears announced her pregnancy in April, 13 years after the 13-year legal arrangement ended. While they stated they will “continue trying to extend our beloved family,” she miscarried in May.

Jason Alexander, a childhood friend of Spears’s who was detained for breaking into her home on the day of her and Asghari’s wedding, was previously married to Spears for an infamous 55 hours in January 2004. She later married Kevin Federline, a former backup dancer, in October 2004. They have two kids, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, and was divorced in July 2007.

The bride’s children were absent at Asghari’s wedding to her. Due to their disagreement over her conservatorship, her siblings Bryan Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears, as well as parents Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears, did not attend the party either.
